(CAD+) On June 7, 2023, it became known that citizens of Dominica can now use the simplified visa regime (CAD +) to visit Canada. This was officially announced by the Canada’s High Commissioner, Lilian Chatterjee.
Please note that such concessions apply only to those citizens of Grenada who have visited Canada at least once in the last 10 years (on legal grounds) or have a valid non-immigrant visa to the United States at the time of application. In addition to citizens of Grenada, citizens of Dominica received this privilege. So, subject to the above conditions, citizens of Grenada, including holders of investment passports, can apply for a Canadian visa online. The remaining categories of citizens are still required to receive regular visas. Mind that only passengers arriving in Canada by air can use the eTA eVisa.
This rule does not apply to other types of transport (border points). The simplification of the visa regime between Canada and the Caribbean countries means a new stage in relations between the countries.
