In November 2025, the Grenada Investment Migration Agency (IMA) announced new transparency and compliance measures. Authorities in the Caribbean country intend to more closely scrutinize the sources of applicants’ capital. Thus, only investors with a strictly transparent history will be granted Grenada citizenship. These measures, which came into effect on November 10, 2025, are aimed at ensuring the transparency, legality, and traceability of all financial flows related to the Grenadian citizenship program.

Grenada Citizenship: what’s new
- Each applicant must complete and have a notarized Attestation Form certifying the legal origin of their investment funds. In the form, the applicant must indicate that the funds used for investment are their personal property and of verifiable origin.
If investments are made with the sponsor’s funds, their origin must be confirmed by the sponsor’s appropriate form. All documents must be submitted to the Agency through an authorized agent as part of the application package.
- A Bank Credit Advice statement must be provided.
This statement must indicate that the investment funds were transferred directly by the applicant or by the source specified in the application. When selecting the Real Estate option, funds must be transferred to the developer’s account and then sent to an escrow account or other government-approved account.

Grenada Citizenship: processing
In 2025 is much quieter for the Grenada’s Citizenship by Investment Program then previous years. For the record, in 2024 all the Caribbean CIPs almost doubled their prices and that announcement caused a lot of applications from all over the world, because investors wanted to partake a program on best terms. That was a lot for local CBIU and processing slowed down. So now we are looking forward to going to more or less normal time of processing in 2026 since number of applications in line is going down.
Grenada CIP total revenue in 2023 year was 1,129 million EC$ ( welcoming 4,794 new citizens), in 2024 – 1,116 million EC$ (welcoming 5,443 new citizens). Grenada processed 309 applications in H1 2025, including both approvals and rejections just 191 received.
